Job summary

Aon in Malaysia is seeking an Assistant Vice President - Placement Operations & Governance to strengthen placement administration across complex insurance portfolios and provide reliable support to broking teams.

The role focuses on process discipline, data integrity, dashboards, and continuous improvement, with emphasis on end-to-end workflows, SLA adherence and seamless hand-offs between brokers, client services and Finance.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in insurance or reinsurance operations.
• Excellent process, documentation, control and data-quality discipline.
• Experience managing high-volume, deadline-sensitive workflows.
• Experience with workflow systems, automation, dashboards or process transformation is advantageous.
• Energy experience is useful but not essential; operational excellence is the priority.

Responsibilities

• Manage and improve end-to-end placement administration and operational workflows.
• Track quotations, slips, endorsements, evidence of cover and other placement documentation.
• Monitor premium, invoicing, closing and processing status, and drive timely follow-up.
• Maintain accurate documentation, data integrity, compliance records and audit trails.
• Establish and monitor operational service level agreements, turnaround times and outstanding-item ageing.
• Maintain effective document control and version management.
• Coordinate operational hand-offs between brokers, client-service teams, Finance and other support functions.
• Identify operational bottlenecks and implement corrective actions.
• Develop operational dashboards and management reporting.
• Identify opportunities for workflow simplification, standardisation and automation.

The Assistant Vice President - Placement Operations & Governance will strengthen placement administration, operational controls and back-office execution across complex insurance and reinsurance portfolios, providing reliable and transparent support to clients and broking teams.

Key Responsibilities
