Job summary

Hong Leong Investment Bank in Selangor seeks an experienced finance professional to provide corporate advisory services to corporate clients. You will prepare client pitch books, concept papers, and deal mandates while supporting project management and deal execution.

You will coordinate with external advisors and internal partners to deliver optimal product solutions, maintain strong client relationships, and perform market research and detailed financial analyses on opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant fields.
• CFA status is highly advantageous.
• CMSRL for Corporate Finance is preferred.
• Minimum 3–5 years in Investment Banking, Corporate Finance, DCM/ECM, or Audit/Assurance.

Responsibilities

• Provide corporate advisory and related services to corporate clients.
• Prepare client pitch books, concept papers, and deal mandates.
• Support team heads in project management, execution and coordination of engagements.
• Coordinate with external advisors (legal, tax, accounting) and client teams for smooth closings.
• Collaborate with internal product partners to offer optimal product solutions.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients and associates for ongoing business.
• Conduct market research and detailed financial analysis on potential clients and deals.
• Prepare internal risk assessments, memos, and approval documentation.
• Manage client onboarding (KYC/AML) and periodic credit reviews per bank policies.

Provide corporate advisory and related services to corporate clients.

Prepare compelling client pitch books, concept papers, presentation papers and deal mandates.

Support team heads in the project management, execution, and coordination of engagements.

Coordinate with external advisors (legal, tax, accounting) and client teams to ensure smooth transaction closing.

Coordinate and collaborate with internal product partners to offer optimal product solutions to clients.

Maintain and enhance close business rapport with clients and associates to ensure continuous business support.

Undertake market research and conduct detailed financial analysis/assessments on potential clients and deal opportunities.

Prepare internal risk assessments, internal memos and approval documentation.

Manage client onboarding (KYC/AML) and conduct periodic credit reviews in full compliance with bank policies and regulatory requirements.

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Banking, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related fields.

CFA Charterholder or active progress toward CFA is highly advantageous.

Candidates holding a valid CMSRL for Advising on Corporate Finance are preferred.

Minimum 3 to 5 years of direct experience in Investment Banking, Corporate Finance, Debt Capital Markets (DCM), Equity Capital Markets (ECM), or Audit/Assurance.

Sound understanding of Malaysian capital markets, regulatory frameworks, and corporate banking products.

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).

Excellent written and spoken fluency in both English and Bahasa Malaysia.
