Jora Malaysia is seeking a Training and Development professional to support the head of Learning and Organizational Development in creating a comprehensive training plan for the sales team and managers within the pharmaceutical industry.
Responsibilities include conducting orientation, on-the-job training, and needs assessments, with a focus on improving selling skills, SOP adherence, and leadership competencies across local and international markets.

The candidate will be assisting the Head of Learning and Organizational Development to develop a training development plan for the sales team and managers to achieve a level of professionalism that is respectable within the pharmaceutical industry.
To conduct orientation sessions and arrange on-the-job training for new hires.
To confer with management and conduct surveys to identify training needs based on projected production processes, changes, and other factors.
To plan and develop annual training plan within the stipulated budget for all level of employees which include but not limited to:
a) Functional/ Technical Training:
i. Design and implement suitable development programs in order to raise the selling skills standards and sales competencies to help the sales force meet the required sales performance criteria.
ii.To ensure that all employees are knowledgeable on the relevant tasks or processes within their individual department. Functional training may include, but not limited to, classroom training, demonstration, on-the-job training, meetings, conferences, SOP training and external workshops (public courses or training provided by external training providers).
i.To ensure that all employees are provided with the necessary training to demonstrate the desired behaviour as per company policy. This includes personal development training such as assertiveness, teamwork, leadership, problem solving, so forth and so on. Behavioural training is conducted periodically as a result of the training needs analysis from individuals’ performance reviews.
4. To monitor and review training effectiveness constantly for continuous improvement.
To support the management in succession planning exercise and provide competencies development programs for candidates identified as part of the Talent Management initiative.
To implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and necessary tools for the field force to improve Sales Force Effectiveness.
To champion team building activities to enhance sense of belonging and team spirit among all employees.
Secondary Responsibilities: International Markets
1. To train and equip the Key Managers (BDM) with the necessary knowledge and skill to deal with employees to improve overall organization effectiveness.
2. All modules will be implemented internationally. Adaptation may be required for international markets.
3. To assist Business Development Manager to train international market upon request.
Job Requirements:
1. Minimum Degree in Science or Economy/Business/Marketing.
2. Minimum 3 to 5 year’s good track record in sales achievement of pharmaceutical products with good knowledge of the customer environment i.e. GPs, Pharmacies, Hospitals, OTC market.
3. Minimum 3 years experience in Training and Development and preferably with experience either in sales or marketing.
4. Possess good communication skills both verbal and written coupled with good analytical skills
5. Computer literate with good knowledge in Microsoft Office application and AI/LMS would be an added advantage.
6. Independent, result oriented, a team player and has good inter-personal skills.
7. Ability to demonstrate strategic approach to problem solving and business development.
8. A decisive mindset and displays sound judgement.
10. Possess leadership and managerial skills to guide, influence and motivate the team to get the best out of it.
