Job summary

Celestica Electronics (M) Sdn Bhd is seeking an Assistant Test Engineer to design and implement end-to-end manufacturing test strategies for new electromechanical products. You will bridge R&D and manufacturing, owning test hardware, software, and procedures from early NPI through full production scale-up.

You will design, build, qualify test systems, and collaborate with R&D to embed DFT/DFM, addressing yield issues and optimizing test efficiency. Night shift availability is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics or related discipline.
• At least 2 years hands-on experience in a manufacturing test or NPI environment.
• Proficiency in test automation scripting (Python, LabVIEW, Visual Basic) or similar.
• Strong background in electromechanical systems, DC circuits, sensors, and schematics.
• Practical working knowledge of DFT and DFM methodologies.
• Proven track record in structured root-cause analysis and troubleshooting hardware failures.
• Must be able to work on night shift.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and qualify scalable manufacturing test systems and fixtures.
• Develop automated test scripts from the ground up.
• Collaborate with R&D to define test coverage and embed DFT/DFM.
• Investigate yield issues and implement permanent corrective actions.
• Evaluate next-generation testing technologies to improve accuracy and cost.
• Create training materials and maintenance guides for technicians.
