Job summary

Celestica is seeking an Associate Engineer, Test Manufacturing 2 in Johor Bahru to design, develop, and own the complete manufacturing test strategy for electromechanical products. You will manage the test process from design to production.

Work closely with R&D during NPI, apply DFT/DFM principles, troubleshoot yield and quality issues, and drive continuous improvement by adopting new test technologies. You will train technicians and lead cross-functional collaboration with R&D, Quality, and

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or related engineering discipline.
6-8 years of impactful experience in a manufacturing test environment.
Demonstrated expertise in defining, developing, and implementing test strategies for new hardware products.
Deep mastery of DFT and DFM principles and their practical application.
Strong proficiency in troubleshooting complex electromechanical systems, including sensors, DC circuits, and engineering drawings.
Hands-on experience with test automation and scripting (Visual Basic, LabVIEW, Python).
A self-starting leader capable of managing projects with autonomy and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and own the complete manufacturing test strategy.
Qualify fixtures and develop automated test software from the ground up.
Serve as a key technical partner in the NPI process with R&D to define test coverage and embed DFT/DFM.
Lead investigations into yield issues and implement permanent corrective actions.
Scout and implement cutting-edge manufacturing test technologies to improve production efficiency and reduce costs.
Develop training programs and preventative maintenance plans for Test Technicians.
