Join our team as an Assistant Test Engineer, where you will help design, develop, and implement end-to-end manufacturing test strategies for new electromechanical products. In this role, you will bridge the gap between R&D and manufacturing, taking ownership of test hardware, software, and procedures from early New Product Introduction (NPI) through full production scale-up.
Key Responsibilities
Design, build, and qualify scalable manufacturing test systems, custom fixtures, and automated test scripts (e.g., Python, LabVIEW, Visual Basic) from the ground up.
Partner directly with R&D during early-stage design to define critical test coverage, validate product specifications, and embed Design for Test (DFT) and Manufacturability (DFM) principles.
Collaborate with Senior Engineers to investigate complex yield issues, perform systematic root-cause analysis, and deploy permanent corrective actions to maximize production quality.
Evaluate and introduce next-generation manufacturing test technologies and methodologies to continuously improve test accuracy, cycle time, and cost-efficiency.
Develop comprehensive training materials, preventive maintenance plans, and troubleshooting guides to upskill Test Technicians on the production line.
Requirements & Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related discipline.
At least 2 years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing test or NPI environment.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in test automation scripting (Python, LabVIEW, Visual Basic, or similar).
Strong background in electromechanical systems, DC circuits, sensors, and reading engineering schematics/drawings.
Practical working knowledge of DFT and DFM methodologies.
Proven track record in structured root-cause analysis and troubleshooting complex hardware failures.
Must be able to work on night shift. (compulsory requirement)
