Job summary

Celestica in Johor Bahru is seeking a senior engineer to own the complete manufacturing test strategy for new electromechanical products. You will define test requirements during NPI, then create and qualify hardware, software, and procedures for production lines.

You will lead hands‑on development of test systems using Visual Basic, apply DFT/DFM, troubleshoot complex yield issues, and drive continuous improvement by introducing new test technologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical engineering with 6–8 years in a manufacturing test environment.
• Proven ability to define, develop and implement test strategies for new hardware products.
• Deep understanding of DFT/DFM principles and their practical use.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for electromechanical systems, sensors, DC circuits, and drawings.
• Hands‑on test automation and scripting experience (Visual Basic, LabVIEW, Python).
• Self-starting leader able to manage projects with autonomy and cross‑functional influence.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and own the complete manufacturing test strategy for new electromechanical products.
• Collaborate with R&D in NPI to define test coverage and embed DFT/DFM from early design stages.
• Lead investigations into yield issues using structured root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Scout, evaluate, and implement new testing technologies to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
• Develop training programs and troubleshooting guides to upskill Test Technicians.
