Job summary

A technology service company in Malaysia is looking for a technician to install CCTV cameras and perform maintenance on low-voltage systems. The ideal candidate will have basic knowledge of CCTV systems, understanding of networking fundamentals, and hands-on experience with cable installation. Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of CCTV systems, IP cameras, and related equipment.
• Understanding of networking fundamentals including IP addressing.
• Hands-on experience with fiber and UTP cable termination.

Job description

Install CCTV cameras, network devices, power systems, and related equipment.

Perform cable pulling, ducting, termination, and labeling for fiber optic and UTP cables.

Assist in system setup, configuration, and testing during project implementation.

Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance for CCTV and low‑voltage systems.

Troubleshoot on‑site technical issues, including camera offline, cabling faults, power issues, and device malfunctions.

Support system commissioning and integration activities under engineer supervision.

Perform site surveys and take basic measurements for installation works.

Ensure all installation work complies with safety requirements, project specifications, and quality standards.

Maintain daily work logs, checklists, and maintenance records.

Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and project teams to complete tasks on schedule.

Maintain tools, equipment, and ensure proper housekeeping at work sites.

Technical Skills

• Basic knowledge of CCTV systems, IP cameras, NVRs, and related equipment.
• Understanding of networking fundamentals (IP addressing, POE, switches, cabling).
• Hands‑on experience in cable routing, fiber/UTP termination, and equipment installation.
• Ability to troubleshoot common technical issues (camera offline, cabling faults, power supply problems).
• Familiarity with installation tools and equipment (drill, tester, crimping tools, OTDR/VFL).
• Ability to read site drawings, plans, and installation diagrams.
