Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a capable Service Operations Manager to lead daily service operations, coordinate field service and workshop activities, and ensure timely responses to customer requests.

The role supports the Service Manager in achieving targets, supervises technicians, manages workshop and inventory, and upholds safety and compliance while communicating effectively with management.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Electrical/Mechanical or related field.
• Minimum 7–8 years of relevant experience, with strong leadership.
• Experience in field service is preferred; strong management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate daily service operations including field service and workshop activities.
• Assist Service Manager in achieving targets, revenue growth, and cost control.
• Supervise service supervisors and technicians; coach and train staff.
• Oversee workshop operations, tools, rental units and spare parts inventory.
• Evaluate technical issues and support warranty judgments.
• Ensure safety compliance with company policies.
• Act as the key liaison between management and service team; report on directives.

Responsibilities

• Service Operations Leadership: Lead and coordinate daily service operations including field service and workshop activities, ensuring efficient execution of service jobs and timely response to customer requests.
• Support Service Business Performance: Support the Service Manager (Head of Department) in achieving service sales targets, revenue growth, and cost control for the service department.
• Team Supervision & Development: Supervise service supervisors and technicians, review service reports, and provide coaching and training to improve team capability. Appraisal for all service staff with Service Manager.
• Workshop & Inventory Management: Oversee workshop operations, service tools, rental units, and spare parts inventory.
• Warranty & Technical Support: Evaluate technical issues and support warranty claim judgment in accordance with company policy.
• Safety & Compliance: Ensure compliance with safety standards and company safety policies.
• Communication & Reporting: Act as the key person between management and the service team, ensuring clear communication and effective implementation of management directives.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical / Mechanical / other relevant
• Min. 7-8 years’ experience in related job.
• (Field service experience is a better fit) Most important is management and leadership skills as Assistant Manager.
• Preferred working industry: Mechanical/Electrical related industrial sector.
• Strong hands‑on experience in technical maintenance and servicing part
• Good English and Malay language skill (speaking and writing)
