Job summary

Vistra in Malaysia invites applications for an Assistant / Senior Assistant Accountant / Accountant, reporting to the Senior Manager, Regional Finance. This full‑time, permanent role is based in Bangsar South, KL /Johor, Malaysia, offering regional coverage and a meaningful impact on our Finance Operation and its growth.

The role requires good communication, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work under tight deadlines.

Qualifications

• Recognised degree or diploma in accounting or finance.
• 1–3 years of accounting/finance experience preferred.
• Fresh graduates encouraged to apply.
• Experience in accounts receivable an advantage.
• Experience in shared services and multi‑jurisdiction companies an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Generate, review, and issue accurate invoices to customers based on services or products provided, ensuring compliance with company policies.
• Reconcile billing discrepancies by reviewing accounts, identifying errors, and applying necessary adjustments.
• Maintain and update customer billing records, tracking charges, payments, and adjustments.
• Monitor incoming payments, ensure they are applied correctly to accounts, and follow up on outstanding balances.
• Assist with audit and month end closing activities.
• Any other ad-hoc duties

Key responsibilities:

• Generate, review, and issue accurate invoices to customers based on services or products provided, ensuring compliance with company policies.

Key requirements

• Good communication skills
• Meticulous attention to fine detail and able to work to tight deadlines and multi-tasking.
• Independent and self-motivated.
• Ability to organise and prioritize work with minimum supervision
• Strong team player
• Prior experience in handling account receivable is a great advantage.
• Experience in the shared services and in handling companies in various jurisdictions is an advantage
• Recognized Degree / Diploma in Accounting or Finance.
• At least with 1-3 years of experiences in accounting/finance.
