Job summary

AFA PROJECT AND MANAGEMENT SERVICES SDN. BHD. is seeking a Civil/Structural Construction Supervisor to oversee civil and structural works on site in Malaysia.

You will ensure compliance with drawings and specifications and report discrepancies to the Resident Engineer. The role requires a degree in Civil Engineering and at least 5 years’ experience in construction management. • Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in construction management.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and ensure civil and structural works comply with drawings and specifications.
• Report discrepancies in drawings, BQ or specs and site conditions to managers.
• Assist Manager/Resident Engineer in site team management.
• Prepare monthly progress and technical reports.
• Attend site possession meetings; comment on method statements and material approvals.
• Monitor progress to meet approved work programme and schedule.
• Conduct regular site inspections and coordinate with contractors to ensure workmanship and materials meet standards.
• Review and provide comments on drawings, submissions and method statements for civil/structural works.

Job description

To supervise and ensure the civil and structural works carried out complies with the construction drawing and specifications

To report to Manager, Resident Engineer and Manager, Project Coordinator of any discrepancies in the construction drawing, BQ or specifications and actual site condition.

To assist Manager, Resident Engineer in management of the site team

To prepare monthly progress and technical reports for submission

Attend site possession meeting, commented on method statement and approval of materials

To monitor site progress and ensure civil and structural works are completed according to the approved work program and schedule.

Conduct regular site inspections and coordinate with contractors to ensure workmanship, materials and construction activities meet the required standards.

Review and provide comments on drawings, technical submissions, method statements and other documents related to civil and structural works.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar construction management role
