Job summary

IJM Corporation Berhad is seeking a QA/QC Manager to oversee MEPS quality assurance across project operations in Malaysia. You will ensure compliance with specifications, drawings, and standards while leading the QA/QC team and coordinating with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors.

The role requires a Bachelor’s or Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with 5–8 years in QA/QC for MEP projects, and experience in supervision is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 5–8 years of relevant QA/QC experience in MEP construction or engineering projects.
• Previous experience in a supervisory or managerial role is an advantage.
• Good knowledge of MEP construction practices, QA/QC procedures, inspection methods, and relevant quality standards.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, ITPs, and method statements.
• Experience in MEP installation inspections, testing, commissioning, and quality documentation.

Responsibilities

• Assist the QA/QC Manager in overseeing MEP quality assurance and quality control activities across project operations.
• Ensure all MEP works comply with project specifications, approved drawings, quality standards, and applicable regulations.
• Develop, implement, and monitor QA/QC procedures, inspection plans, and quality control processes.
• Review and verify Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), method statements, material submittals, and other quality documentation.
• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure MEP installation works meet the required quality standards.
