Job summary

IJM Corporation Berhad is seeking a Quality Assurance and Control Engineer to implement and maintain the Project Quality Management System on our Sedenak, Johor site. You will ensure QA/QC activities for CSA or MEP works meet project specs, drawings and ITPs, conduct inspections and witness testing, and manage quality documentation.

You will collaborate with consultants, clients and subcontractors to resolve issues, monitor incoming materials, and support audits to uphold ISO 9001/QMS standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality or related discipline.
• 2–5 years of QA/QC experience in building construction projects.
• Data Center construction experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of quality procedures, inspection & test plans (ITPs), material inspections, NCR management and quality documentation.
• Familiar with ISO 9001, Quality Management Systems (QMS) and relevant construction quality standards.
• Strong problem-solving, communication and documentation skills.
• Willing to be based in Sedenak, Johor.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain the PQMS in accordance with project specifications, ISO standards and client requirements.
• Coordinate and monitor QA/QC activities for CSA or MEP works throughout all construction phases.
• Conduct inspections, witness testing, and verify completed works comply with approved drawings, specifications, ITPs and method statements.
• Prepare, review and maintain QA/QC documentation including Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), material approvals, inspection records, NCRs, RFIs and quality reports.
• Coordinate with consultants, clients, subcontractors and site teams to resolve quality issues and ensure timely close-out of NCRs and corrective actions.
• Monitor incoming materials and equipment to ensure compliance with approved specifications and project requirements.
• Perform daily site quality inspections and compile daily, weekly and monthly quality performance reports.
• Support internal and external quality audits and ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and project quality procedures.
• Participate in testing and commissioning activities by ensuring all quality documentation and inspections are completed before handover.
• Promote quality awareness and continuous improvement initiatives across the project team.
