Job summary

IKD (MALAYSIA) SDN BHD is seeking a capable assistant to the Production Supervisor to help manage daily production activities, ensure targets, schedules and delivery requirements are met, and maintain smooth workflow.

You will coordinate production workers, monitor progress, verify orders and specifications, work with QC, Packaging and Warehouse, and support improvements to productivity and quality in a hands-on factory environment.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing, Production, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 1–2 years of working experience in a manufacturing environment, with HPDC or precision machining exposure preferred.
• Strong production planning, workflow coordination, manpower allocation and monitoring abilities.
• Good understanding of manufacturing processes and ability to identify issues affecting quality and delivery.
• Good problem-solving and decision-making skills, with initiative to implement practical solutions.
• Able to collaborate with Production, QC, Warehouse, Packaging and related departments.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Production Supervisor in managing and monitoring daily production activities to meet targets.
• Coordinate and supervise production workers and group leaders for smooth workflow.
• Monitor progress according to the schedule and respond to delays promptly.
• Review production orders, drawings and requirements before and during production.
• Ensure products meet specifications and processing requirements.
• Collaborate with QC to identify and resolve quality issues and defects.
• Work with Packaging and Warehouse to ensure timely completion and packing.
• Support manpower planning and daily work allocation based on priorities.
• Monitor attendance, discipline and productivity; ensure safety rules.
• Prepare production records and daily reports; highlight delays or issues to management.
• Participate in production improvement initiatives to boost productivity and quality.
