Job summary

Greatech Group is seeking a Manufacturing/Planning Assistant in Penang to support sheet metal fabrication and CNC machining through ERP-based planning, BOM review, and material coordination.

The role involves releasing work orders, coordinating daily shipments, and ensuring on-time documentation and ECN-driven changes, with adherence to ISO standards and safety practices.

Qualifications

• Diploma or equivalent in supply chain, engineering or business.
• Collaboration and basic planning skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Understand sheet metal fabrication/CNC processes.
• Review drawings and BOM in ERP.
• Release Work Orders and schedule production to meet deadlines.
• Raise Purchase Requisitions via ePR for raw materials.
• Coordinate daily production shipments to finishing and assembly.
• Follow up with Engineering & Doc Con to release documents on time.
• Assist planner to optimize machine utilization and schedules.
• Coordinate with Purchasing to resolve material issues.
• Update Production Master Plan & OE Summary for open orders.
• Print Job Traveller and hand to production team.
• Coordinate changes due to ECN for parts/quantities.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Comply with ISO standards and safety practices.

Job description

Responsibilities

• 1. Must understand the process flow for sheet metal fabrication / CNC machining processes.
• 2. To review Drawing and BOM in ERP system.
• 3. To release Work Order & schedule to production and monitor production activities to meet delivery timelines.
• 4. To raise Purchase Requisition based on raw material required through ePR.
• 5. Coordinates production daily shipment arrangement to finishing and assembly sites.
• 6. Follow up with Engineering & Doc Con to ensure all document release on time for production activities.
• 7. To assist planner to plan and review schedules to fully utilize machine capacity and to meet project schedule.
• 8. To follow up with Purhasing department to resolve potential pull in/push out or raw material related issues.
• 9. To up-date Production Master Plan & OE Summary for all open orders.
• 10. To print Job Traveller then pass to production team to start the production.
• 11. To coordinate on changes needed due to ECN changes for additional part/qty, reduce qty, delete part, modification, etc.
• 12. Other duties and assignments as instructed by superiors from time to time.
• 13. To comply to all requirements of ISO (inclusive of all standards approved by the Management) and to adhere to general safety practices, standard operating procedure, work instructions, policies and guidelines provided by the company.

Requirements

• 1. Diploma in Supply Chain / Engineering / Business or equivalent years of related experience.
• 2. Preferably0 to 2 years working experience in planning of manufacturing line.
