OXFORD INNOTECH BERHAD in Malaysia is seeking a proactive Planner to manage production planning and scheduling, ensuring customer orders are fulfilled on time while optimizing CNC machining capacity and material availability.
You will prepare daily to monthly schedules, coordinate CNC milling and other processes, monitor progress, and communicate changes across Production, QA/QC, Purchasing, Warehouse and Sales to maintain smooth flow and on-time delivery.
We are seeking a proactive and organized Planner to manage and coordinate production planning and scheduling activities to ensure customer orders are completed on time and production resources are utilized effectively. The role will be responsible for planning CNC machining activities, monitoring material availability and machine capacity, tracking production progress, and identifying potential delays or bottlenecks.
Prepare daily, weekly and monthly production schedules based on customer orders and delivery requirements.
Plan CNC machining activities according to machine capacity, production priority and available manpower.
Coordinate production schedules for CNC Milling, CNC Auto Lathe and other machining processes.
Check availability of raw materials, tooling, fixtures and other production requirements before scheduling jobs.
Monitor machine loading and capacity to avoid bottlenecks and production delays.
Coordinate with Purchasing and Store to ensure materials are available according to production requirements.
Monitor actual production progress against the planned schedule.
Follow up on delayed, urgent and overdue production orders.
Update production status and highlight potential delivery risks to management.
Work closely with Production, QA/QC, Engineering, Purchasing, Warehouse and Sales/Customer Service to ensure smooth production flow.
Coordinate job priorities and production changes with Production Supervisors and CNC Programmers.
Communicate changes in customer requirements or delivery schedules to relevant departments.
Maintain production schedules, work orders and planning records.
Prepare daily/weekly production status reports.
Monitor On-Time Delivery (OTD), production achievement and machine utilization.
Ensure production planning data is accurately updated in the system.
Diploma or Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management (SCM) or a related field
Minimum 1 year of relevant working experience in supply chain, purchasing, planning, logistics or a related field
Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
Good verbal and written communication skills
Strong coordination, problem-solving and organizational skills
Able to work independently and effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
