AGENSI PEKERJAAN TRUST RECRUIT SDN. BHD. is seeking an hands-on Assistant Production Manager to oversee daily manufacturing operations, with a strong focus on SMT and DIP processes in a fast-paced plant in Malacca.

You will coordinate production planning, manpower, and continuous improvement to meet schedules and quality targets. You will lead teams, monitor performance, work with QA, engineering and maintenance, and ensure SOPs and safety standards are followed.

Formación

• Diploma or higher in any field with 3+ years in production/manufacturing.
• Hands-on SMT and DIP production experience.
• Strong leadership and manpower management capabilities.

Responsabilidades

• Plan, organize, direct and monitor daily production activities to meet schedules, targets, quality standards and cost objectives.
• Develop, maintain and distribute production master schedules based on plans from Production Control.
• Monitor processes and adjust schedules, manpower and resources to meet requirements.
• Manage capacity, inventory, lead times, material flow and resource utilization.
• Oversee SMT/DIP production processes and ensure smooth flow.
• Monitor performance, downtime and wastage; drive continuous improvement.
• Lead and develop production personnel; ensure SOPs and safety standards.
• Coordinate with QA, Engineering and Maintenance for productivity.
• Manage equipment maintenance and utilization; ensure safe, clean workplace.

We are seeking a hands‑on and experienced Assistant Production Manager to oversee daily production operations, with a strong focus on SMT and DIP manufacturing processes.

The successful candidate will be responsible for production planning, manpower management, process monitoring and continuous improvement to ensure production targets, product quality, delivery schedules and operational efficiency are achieved.

Key Responsibilities

1. Production Planning & Management

Plan, organize, direct and monitor daily production activities to meet production schedules, output targets, quality standards and cost objectives.

Develop, maintain and distribute production master schedules based on production plans from the Production Control Department.

Monitor production processes and adjust schedules, manpower and resources accordingly to meet operational requirements.

Manage production capacity, inventory, lead times, material flow and resource utilization to maximize productivity.

Oversee and monitor the overall SMT/DIP production processes.

2. Production Performance & Process Improvement

Monitor production performance, yield, downtime, wastage and overall operational efficiency.

Analyze production results and maintenance records to identify issues and implement corrective actions.

Identify and resolve production bottlenecks, work stoppages and process inefficiencies.

Work closely with QA, Engineering, Maintenance and other departments to ensure smooth production flow and consistent product quality.

Establish and maintain production quality standards and ensure compliance with established specifications.

3. Manpower & Team Management

Lead, supervise and motivate production personnel to achieve departmental targets.

Plan manpower requirements, allocate workloads and delegate responsibilities effectively.

Monitor employee performance, conduct evaluations and identify training and development needs.

Address performance issues and implement corrective or disciplinary actions when necessary.

Ensure all subordinates consistently follow established SOPs, safety requirements and workplace procedures.

4. Equipment & Resource Management

Manage production equipment and machinery, ensuring proper utilization and maintenance.

Coordinate equipment maintenance activities to minimize downtime and maintain production continuity.

Manage production resources and capital requirements to improve operational efficiency.

Ensure workplace safety, housekeeping and production discipline are maintained.

5. Other Responsibilities

- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by the superior.

Job Requirements

Candidate must possess at least a Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor's Degree or Professional Degree in any field.

Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in a production or manufacturing environment.

Hands‑on experience and good knowledge of SMT and DIP production processes.

Strong leadership and manpower management capabilities.

Good problem-solving, analytical and decision‑making skills.

Able to manage production planning, scheduling and resource allocation.

Proactive, responsible and able to work in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
