AGENSI PEKERJAAN TRUST RECRUIT SDN. BHD. is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Manager to lead Manufacturing, Process Engineering and NPI within a high-volume electronics environment.

You will guide engineering teams, set KPIs, and drive automation, cost reduction and continuous improvement across production lines. The role focuses on SMT and Box-Build assembly, with responsibility for CAPEX/OPEX, technology adoption, and delivering successful NPI from prototype to mass production.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering leadership and strategic planning for Manufacturing, Process and NPI.

Senior Manufacturing Manager (Global MNC)

We are seeking an experienced Senior Manufacturing Engineering Manager to provide strategic leadership and oversee Manufacturing, Process Engineering and NPI operations within a high-volume electronics manufacturing environment.

The successful candidate will lead engineering teams to drive manufacturing excellence, optimize production yields, manage CAPEX investments and implement advanced manufacturing technologies. This role will play a key part in overseeing SMT and Box-Build assembly operations, ensuring successful New Product Introductions (NPI), and driving continuous improvement initiatives to achieve operational efficiency and business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

1. Engineering Leadership & Strategic Planning

Lead, develop and mentor Manufacturing, Process and NPI Engineering teams to achieve departmental and operational objectives.

Establish and monitor engineering KPIs, including First-Pass Yield, OEE, NPI lead time and cost savings.

Develop and standardize engineering processes, workflows and best practices across production lines and business units.

Drive engineering strategies aligned with overall plant objectives and long-term business growth.

Develop, manage and monitor departmental CAPEX and OPEX budgets.

Evaluate, justify and oversee investments in advanced manufacturing equipment and technologies.

Drive automation, Industry 4.0 and smart manufacturing initiatives to improve productivity, reduce labour dependency and enhance production traceability.

Ensure effective equipment implementation, investment returns and resource utilization.

Oversee the complete NPI process, from prototype builds through EVT, DVT and PVT stages to successful mass production.

Ensure manufacturing readiness, process validation and smooth production transitions for new products.

Serve as the senior technical point of contact for global customers on complex engineering and manufacturing matters.

Manage Engineering Change Orders (ECO), Design for Manufacturability (DFM) reviews and technology transfers.

Lead technical discussions and resolve customer-related engineering escalations.

4. Manufacturing Excellence & Yield Improvement

Drive plant-wide yield improvement, process optimization and manufacturing cost-reduction initiatives.

Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for recurring or critical manufacturing and quality issues.

Oversee PFMEA, process risk assessments and control plan implementation across production lines.

Collaborate with Quality, Production and Industrial Engineering teams to eliminate bottlenecks and improve overall manufacturing performance.

Drive Lean Six Sigma and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and product quality.

Job Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Manufacturing Engineering or a related discipline. A Master's Degree or MBA will be an added advantage.

Minimum 10–12 years of progressive engineering experience within a high-volume electronics manufacturing, EMS or PCBA environment.

At least 5 years of managerial experience leading Manufacturing, Process or NPI Engineering teams.

Strong technical expertise in SMT processes, reflow profiling, wave/selective soldering, conformal coating and complex electromechanical Box-Build assembly.

Proven experience managing large-scale CAPEX investments, equipment procurement and ROI justifications.

Strong understanding of quality standards and frameworks, including IPC-A-610, IPC-J-STD-001, ISO 9001, IATF 16949 or ISO 13485.

Strong knowledge of Lean Six Sigma, Statistical Process Control (SPC), PFMEA and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES).

Experience driving automation, smart factory and advanced manufacturing technology initiatives.

Proven track record in NPI management, yield improvement and manufacturing cost optimization.

Excellent leadership, strategic planning, stakeholder management and problem-solving capabilities.

Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage international customers and cross-functional stakeholders.
