Job summary

UYEMURA (MALAYSIA) Sdn Bhd, based in Pasir Gudang, Malaysia, is seeking a hands-on Assistant Production Engineer to support production operations and continuous improvement initiatives.

You will work closely with the Production team to ensure targets, quality, and safety are met, and to identify opportunities to improve process efficiency. The role requires a Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering and 1–3 years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• 1–3 years of experience in production/manufacturing/process engineering.
• Hands-on experience in chemical, piping or plant operations is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Monitor daily production activities to meet targets and quality requirements.
• Identify potential process issues and minimize disruptions.
• Ensure SOPs, work instructions and safety requirements are followed.
• Support process improvement to boost productivity, efficiency and quality.
• Assist in in-line inspections and investigation of quality issues.
• Troubleshoot production problems including root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Maintain production records and prepare reports.
