Job summary

SMI Holdings Sdn. Bhd. in Selangor is seeking a Production Engineer to monitor daily production activities and optimize processes to meet targets while upholding quality and compliance.

You will work closely with QA, Maintenance, and Tooling to ensure smooth operation and adherence to specifications. The role involves troubleshooting machine and process issues, reducing downtime and waste, supporting new product introductions, and maintaining production documentation.

Responsibilities

• Monitor daily production activities and ensure production targets are achieved.
• Ensure production processes follow work instructions, specifications and quality requirements.
• Troubleshoot production, machine, tooling and process problems.
• Improve production efficiency, productivity and process flow.
• Reduce rejection, scrap, downtime and production costs.
• Support new product introduction, trial runs and process improvements.
• Work closely with Production, QA, Tooling, Maintenance and PDD departments.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for production problems.
• Prepare and maintain production and process-related documents.
• Support IATF 16949, customer requirements and internal/external audits.
