Toto Malaysia Sdn Bhd is seeking an Assistant Officer Safety to join our Health, Safety and Environment team in Senawang, Negeri Sembilan. You will support safety protocols across construction and manufacturing operations, ensuring compliance with Malaysian health and safety regulations and OSHA 1994.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of Malaysian health and safety legislation, particularly OSHA 1994.
• Excellent attention to detail with strong organisational and record-keeping skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels and external stakeholders.
• Sound understanding of construction site safety practices and hazard identification.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and data management systems.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
• Certification in First Aid and Basic Fire Safety (or willingness to obtain these).
• Preferably, previous experience in a safety-related role within construction or manufacturing industries.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and commitment to continuous improvement.

Responsabilités

• Assist in development, implementation and monitoring of health and safety policies across all sites.
• Conduct regular site inspections and safety audits to identify hazards and non-compliance issues.
• Prepare and maintain safety documentation, records, incident reports and safety statistics.
• Support delivery of safety induction programmes and training sessions for employees.
• Investigate workplace incidents and accidents, documenting findings and recommending corrective actions.
• Coordinate safety awareness campaigns and toolbox talks.
• Liaise with regulatory bodies and ensure adherence to relevant legislation and standards.
• Support the Safety Officer in risk assessments and hazard analysis activities.
• Monitor use of PPE and safety equipment on site.
• Assist in emergency preparedness planning and evacuation drills.

About the role

We are seeking an Assistant Officer Safety to join Toto Malaysia Sdn Bhd in a full-time capacity, based in Senawang, Negeri Sembilan. This is a crucial role within our Health, Safety and Environment department, where you will support the development and implementation of safety protocols across our construction and manufacturing operations. As Assistant Officer Safety, you will play an integral part in maintaining our commitment to creating a safe working environment for all employees and stakeholders, whilst ensuring compliance with Malaysian health and safety regulations.

Key responsibilities

Assist in the development, implementation and monitoring of health and safety policies and procedures across all operational sites

Conduct regular site inspections and safety audits to identify hazards and non-compliance issues

Prepare and maintain safety documentation, records, incident reports and safety statistics

Support the delivery of safety induction programmes and training sessions for employees

Investigate workplace incidents and accidents, documenting findings and recommending corrective actions

Assist in the organisation and coordination of safety awareness campaigns and toolbox talks

Liaise with regulatory bodies and ensure adherence to relevant legislation and standards

Support the Safety Officer in risk assessments and hazard analysis activities

Monitor the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety equipment on site

Assist in emergency preparedness planning and evacuation drills

What we’re looking for

Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering or a related field

Strong knowledge of Malaysian health and safety legislation, particularly the Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA) 1994

Excellent attention to detail with strong organisational and record-keeping skills
