Job summary

SP Setia Berhad's Convention Centre is seeking an Assistant Manager, Sales & Event Services to drive sales plans, develop markets, and strengthen relationships with clients and vendors. You will coordinate event layouts with the operations team for seamless execution.

You will manage budgets, monitor market trends, provide management with insights, ensure SOPs are followed, and maintain all documentation. This role is based at Setia Alam.

Qualifications

• Degree in Business Studies, Marketing, Event Management, Hospitality Management, or related fields.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in hospitality or event industry, with minimum 2 years in an Assistant Manager.

Responsibilities

• Implement sales and marketing plans, strategies, and activities for the Convention Centre.
• Develop and penetrate new and existing business markets and clientele to grow sales revenue.
• Maintain and strengthen business relationships with clients and vendors.
• Plan event layouts and coordinate with operations team for seamless event execution.
• Coordinate with caterers, suppliers, and venue bookings, and obtain permits.
• Manage and control event expenses, ensuring resources are used efficiently and within budget.
• Conduct market intelligence, analyze competitor services, pricing, and strategies, and assess market trends.
• Provide timely insights and recommendations to management based on market conditions.
• Ensure procedures, processes, and documentation are recorded and maintained.
• Ensure team compliance with company SOPs.
