Job summary

S P Setia Berhad in Malaysia is seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor to oversee daily operations in public areas and function rooms at Setia City Convention Centre. The role involves daily inspections, cleaning schedules, and supervision of outsourced staff to maintain quality standards.

The candidate should have a hospitality qualification, 2 years in a similar hotel or convention centre role, and strong customer- and team-focused attributes in Bahasa Melayu and English.

Qualifications

• Certificate or Diploma in hospitality Management or equivalent.
• 2 years working experience in similar position in hotels or convention centre environment.
• Pleasant personality, well-groomed and good organizational skills.
• Highly customer focus attitude.
• Positive working attitude with Team work mind set.
• Proficient in Bahasa Melayu and English.

Responsibilities

• Assist in supervising daily housekeeping operations for public areas and function rooms.
• Conduct routine inspections to ensure cleanliness and quality standards are maintained.
• Daily check of all public areas and all function rooms.
• Ensure preparation of cleaning schedule for the Convention Centre
• Maintain accurate lost & found records and assist in handling unclaimed items.
• Assist with monthly linen and uniform stock counts.
• Monitor outsourced housekeeping staff to ensure compliance with grooming and uniform standards.
• Support training initiatives and on-the-job coaching for housekeeping associates.
• Ensure adherence to workplace health, safety, and hygiene requirements.
• Assist the Housekeeping Supervisor in achieving departmental objectives and service excellence.
• Ensure compliance with legislated health and safety requirements within the workplace.
