FamilyMart Malaysia is seeking an Assistant Manager to oversee retail training operations and centre performance. You will coordinate trainers, schedules, and Centre practices, while shaping training strategy to close capability gaps and support business goals.
Role requires 2+ years in training or retail operations, proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia and English, and travel to outstation centres for delivery and audits. HRD Corp familiarity is a plus.
Oversee Trainers & Training Centre – Coordinate and monitor trainers, training schedules, Centre operations, and training effectiveness to ensure consistent delivery standards.
Lead Retail Training Strategy – Assist in developing and executing training strategies aligned with retail operational priorities, business goals, and capability gaps.
Succession Planning – Develop and maintain succession plans for key retail positions by identifying high-potential talent and establishing structured development pathways.
Training Programme Development – Design and enhance retail operations training programmes, including onboarding, operational skills, leadership, and career development programmes.
E-Learning Development – Assist in developing and implementing e-learning content and digital learning solutions to improve training accessibility and scalability.
Training Materials & Standards – Develop, review, and maintain training materials, SOP-related learning content, trainer guides, and assessment tools to ensure accuracy and consistency.
Training Performance & Continuous Improvement – Track training effectiveness, gather feedback and operational insights, and recommend improvements to strengthen retail capability and business performance.

Job Requirement :
Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Education, or a related field. HRD Corp Train-the-Trainer (TTT) certification is an added advantage.
At least 2 years of experience in training, learning & development or retail/F&B operations, with prior team-leadership experience preferred.
Strong knowledge of convenience store or retail operations, SOPs and service standards.
Familiarity with HRD Corp (HRDC) claim and application processes.
Hands-on experience developing e-learning content on an LMS (RYMNET or equivalent).
Excellent facilitation, coaching, communication and stakeholder-management skills.
Required language(s): Bahasa Malaysia and English.
Willing to travel to outstation training Center and stores for training delivery and audits.
