Job summary

FamilyMart Malaysia is seeking an Assistant Manager to oversee retail training operations and centre performance. You will coordinate trainers, schedules, and Centre practices, while shaping training strategy to close capability gaps and support business goals.

Role requires 2+ years in training or retail operations, proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia and English, and travel to outstation centres for delivery and audits. HRD Corp familiarity is a plus.

Qualifications

• Degree in HR, Business Admin, Education or related field; TTT certification a plus.
• At least 2 years in training, L&D or retail/F&B with leadership experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of convenience store/retail operations, SOPs and service standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Trainers & Training Centre: coordinate trainers, schedules, Centre operations, and effectiveness.
• Lead Retail Training Strategy: develop and execute strategies aligned with priorities and gaps.
• Succession Planning: identify high-potential talent and create development pathways.
• Training Programme Development: design and enhance onboarding, leadership, and career programmes.
• E-Learning Development: develop and implement e-learning content for accessibility.
• Training Materials & Standards: maintain training content, SOPs, guides, and assessments.
• Training Performance & Continuous Improvement: track impact and drive improvements.
• Assist management with ad hoc tasks.
