Job summary

Advanced Defence Systems in Damansara, Selangor, is seeking an Assistant Manager Project Engineer to coordinate and manage engineering projects from initiation through completion, ensuring on‑time delivery within scope and budget.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Engineering, 5+ years in project management or engineering projects, and experience in the defence sector with related systems. Strong familiarity with PM tools is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical / Electrical / Electronic or related field).
• 5+ years of experience in project management or engineering projects.
• Experience in Defence Industry (priority).
• Experience handling Tactical Radio, Semboyan, VHF, HF or related projects (priority).
• Knowledge of project management tools.
• Professional certification is an advantage (e.g., PMP or similar).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for flawless execution of projects.
• Ensure all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget.
• Assist in defining project scope and objectives with stakeholders and ensure technical feasibility.
• Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress.
• Manage changes to the project scope, schedule and costs using proper verification techniques.
• Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques.
• Track project performance to analyze the completion of short and long-term goals.
• Develop test protocols, spreadsheets, diagrams, and process maps to document needs.
• Prepare reports and meeting presentations for upper management or clients regarding status.
• Perform any other duties assigned by Management from time to time.

• Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques

About you
