Job summary

LINKK Busway Systems (M) Sdn Bhd is seeking a Procurement Manager in Malaysia to lead procurement strategy and supplier relations. The role focuses on budgeting, cost reduction, and ensuring timely purchase orders.

The candidate should have 5–7 years in senior procurement, with strong negotiation and analytical abilities, plus proficiency in procurement software and MS Office. An engineering background is a plus.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
• Experience: Extensive procurement or purchasing experience with 5–7 years in a senior/leadership role.
• Skills: Strong negotiation, analytical and communication skills; proficiency in procurement software and MS Office.
• Knowledge: Understanding of supply chain, contract law, procurement practices and market trends.
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities; engineering background is a plus.

Job description

Implement purchasing plans and ensure alignment with organizational goals.

Maintain relationships with suppliers, address issues, and ensure compliance with contracts.

To identify new products demands, schedules and procurement needs

Oversee and manage day-to-day purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and timely processing.

Help manage the procurement budget, tracking expenses and ensuring cost control.

Assist in identifying cost-saving opportunities and implementing cost-effective solutions.

Support inventory control by monitoring stock levels and coordinating with other departments to ensure adequate supply.

To get tax exemption on all taxable materials from local or overseas via documentation which compliance with customs acts regulation

Prepare and present reports on procurement activities, including spend analysis, supplier performance, and savings achievements.

Job Requirements:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

Experience: Extensive experience in procurement or purchasing roles, with at least 5-7 years of experience in a senior or leadership position.

Skills: Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills. Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Knowledge: In-depth understanding of supply chain management, contract law, procurement best practices, and market trends.

Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.

An engineering background will be added advantage.
