Atomic Recruitment SEA is seeking an Assistant Pricing & Promotion Manager in Malaysia. You will own retail pricing for defined categories, guide promotions, and mentor a Pricing & Promotion Executive to optimize margins and commercial outcomes.

You will collaborate with local teams, monitor market trends, and ensure pricing accuracy across the store network as the business scales regionally.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Business, Retail Management, Finance or related field.
• 3–5 years in retail pricing or related commercial roles.
• Background in retail, FMCG, distribution or consumer products.
• Sharp eye for margins and profitability.
• Advanced Excel skills and comfort with large datasets.
• Experience guiding junior team members.
• Regional exposure as business expands.

Responsibilities

• Own and manage retail selling prices across assigned categories.
• Check pricing proposals, margin calculations and price updates.
• Build and maintain price lists for franchise, customer and internal use.
• Track supplier cost changes and assess impact on margins.
• Recommend pricing moves based on margins, trends and goals.
• Run competitor price checks and market benchmarking.
• Price promotions, markdowns and new product launches.
• Turn the numbers into clear reports for management.
• Be the link between local teams and Pricing Manager.
• Coach and grow Pricing & Promotion Executive.
• Look for ways to make pricing processes faster and sharper.

About the role:

Do you get excited when the margins add up? This role is for you. As Assistant Pricing & Promotion Manager, you’ll own retail pricing for your categories. You’ll decide what goes on the shelf tag, keep an eye on competitors, and make sure every promotion earns its place. You’ll be the go-to pricing person in Malaysia, the right hand to the Pricing Manager, and a mentor to a Pricing & Promotion Executive.

Key responsibilities:

• Own and manage retail selling prices across your assigned categories.
• Check pricing proposals, margin calculations and price updates before they go up the chain.
• Build and maintain franchise, customer and internal price lists.
• Track supplier cost changes and work out what they mean for margins.
• Recommend pricing moves based on margin targets, market trends and commercial goals.

• Price promotions, markdowns and new product launches so they sell and still make money.
• Turn the numbers into clear reports management can act on.

Key criteria:

• Diploma or Degree in Business, Retail Management, Finance or a related field.
