The Assistant Manager, Partnership & Activation is responsible for driving strategic partnership development, stakeholder engagement, and planning and execution of marketing activation initiatives. The role works closely with internal teams and external partners to develop mutually beneficial collaborations, strengthen brand presence, and deliver impactful marketing campaigns and activations that support the organisation’s business and marketing objectives.
Identify, develop, and manage strategic partnerships with corporate organisations, government agencies, brands, media partners, commercial partners, and other relevant stakeholders.
Develop partnership opportunities that enhance brand visibility, customer engagement, business opportunities, and long-term organisational value.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key partners and stakeholders to strengthen collaboration and identify new opportunities.
Conduct market and industry research to identify potential partners, sponsorship opportunities, and emerging collaboration trends.
Lead the development of partnership proposals, sponsorship decks, presentations, collaboration plans, and supporting materials.
Manage partnership negotiations, commercial discussions, agreements, and deliverables to ensure alignment with business and marketing objectives.
Work closely with relevant internal stakeholders to establish partnership terms, deliverables, timelines, and expectations.
Ensure agreed partnership commitments are properly coordinated, tracked, and fulfilled.
Support the planning, coordination, and execution of marketing activations, exhibitions, roadshows, events, experiential campaigns, and partnership-led initiatives.
Translate partnership objectives into effective activation plans that deliver meaningful brand and audience engagement.
Coordinate with internal teams, agencies, vendors, partners, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless campaign and activation execution.
Monitor activation progress, deliverables, timelines, and operational readiness to ensure projects are delivered according to agreed objectives.
Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure timely execution of partnership initiatives, campaigns, and activation deliverables.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining quality, timelines, budgets, and stakeholder expectations.
Establish project timelines, monitor milestones, identify potential risks, and implement appropriate corrective actions.
Maintain effective communication with internal and external stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
Support the planning and management of project and activation budgets to ensure effective utilisation of resources.
Monitor project expenditure, commitments, and costs against approved budgets.
Coordinate with agencies, vendors, suppliers, and service providers to ensure timely delivery and adherence to agreed specifications.
Evaluate vendor and agency performance and support the implementation of improvements where required.
Prepare regular partnership, campaign, and activation reports for management review.
Track and evaluate campaign and partnership performance against agreed objectives and key performance indicators.
Analyse results, identify areas for improvement, and recommend actionable strategies to enhance future partnership and activation initiatives.
Maintain accurate documentation of partnership agreements, campaign deliverables, reports, and relevant project records.
Collaborate effectively with internal departments to ensure partnership and activation initiatives are aligned with broader organisational priorities.
Provide guidance, coordination, and support to team members involved in partnership and activation projects.
Where applicable, supervise and mentor junior team members to enhance team capability and performance.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by Management.
Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Mass Communication, Event Management, or a related discipline.
Equivalent professional qualifications or relevant industry experience will be considered.
Minimum 5–7 years of relevant experience in partnership management, marketing, brand activation, business development, event management, sponsorship, or a related field.
Proven experience in developing and managing strategic partnerships, sponsorships, and commercial collaborations.
Demonstrated experience in planning and executing marketing campaigns, events, exhibitions, roadshows, or brand activation initiatives.
Experience managing multiple stakeholders, including corporate partners, government agencies, brands, media, agencies, vendors, and other external parties.
Experience in supervising, coaching, or mentoring team members will be an added advantage.
Strong knowledge of partnership development, sponsorship management, brand activation, and marketing campaign execution.
Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines effectively.
Good understanding of budget planning, cost monitoring, and resource management.
Strong vendor, agency, and stakeholder management capabilities.
Proficient in English and Bahasa Malaysia, both written and spoken, with Mandarin language proficiency considered an added advantage.
