Job summary

FGV IFFCO SDN BHD is seeking a Maintenance Manager to plan and supervise daily mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation maintenance activities in our edible refinery facility in Selangor, Malaysia.

You will lead preventive and predictive maintenance programs, manage TPM/MTBF metrics, and coordinate shutdowns while ensuring safety standards and regulatory compliance. Strong SAP PM experience and hands-on leadership are essential to drive reliability and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in the edible refinery or food processing industry.
• Good knowledge of Mechanical, Electrical, and Instrumentation systems.

Responsibilities

• Plan and supervise daily maintenance activities for mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation equipment.
• Ensure preventive and predictive maintenance programs are properly implemented.
• Lead troubleshooting and repair activities for equipment breakdowns.
• Respond promptly to major equipment failures.
• Monitor equipment reliability, including MTBF and MTTR.
• Develop and maintain PM schedules in SAP.
• Coordinate planned shutdowns and major maintenance activities.
• Enforce safety requirements (LOTTO, PTW, hot work, working-at-height).
• Drive continuous improvements to operations and maintenance efficiency.

Job description

Plan and supervise daily maintenance activities for mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation equipment.

Ensure preventive and predictive maintenance programs are properly implemented.

Lead troubleshooting and repair activities for equipment breakdowns.

Respond promptly to major equipment failures.

Monitor equipment reliability, including MTBF (Mean Time Between Failures) and MTTR (Mean Time To Repair).

Ensure machinery and facility equipment are operating smoothly and are well maintained.

Develop and maintain preventive maintenance (PM) schedules in SAP.

Coordinate planned shutdowns and major maintenance activities based on the Preventive Maintenance Schedule.

Ensure all machine and facility breakdowns are resolved immediately by the maintenance team.

Analyze recurring breakdowns and implement permanent corrective actions.

Drive system and operational improvements to achieve effective operational control and performance.

Maintain sufficient engineering spare parts and necessary items for critical machinery.

Assist in maintenance-related CAPEX and engineering projects.

Prepare maintenance plans, manpower requirements, and budgets.

Monitor maintenance expenditure against budget allocations.

Ensure vessels and machinery are well prepared for annual DOSH machinery inspections.

Enforce LOTTO, PTW, hot work, and working-at-height requirements as part of safety compliance.

Promote a Safe Working Procedure culture within the maintenance team.

Perform any other related duties as assigned by Management from time to time.

Actively participate in all Food Safety, Quality, RSPO & MSPO, Safety, and Environmental Care Management System implementation and certification programs.
