Job summary

Genting Malaysia Berhad is seeking an Assistant Manager - HR Communication to plan, create, and manage internal communications, ensuring clarity and alignment with company tone. You will support HR functions with content and help drive engagement through campaigns and storytelling.

You will manage the intranet content, coordinate leadership communications, and oversee measurement of engagement metrics to continuously improve staff connectivity and experience at Genting Highlands.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Human Resources, Business, Marketing, or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in internal communication, employee engagement, HR communication, or content creation.
• Experience managing intranet platforms, internal announcements, newsletters, or employee campaigns.
• Familiarity with digital communication tools (e.g., SharePoint, Canva, email marketing tools) is an advantage.
• Strong stakeholder management experience, including working with cross-functional teams.
• Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with strong tone, clarity, and consistency.
• Ability to translate complex information into simple, engaging messages for staff at all levels.
• Strong planning and organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Skilled in creating employee-focused content, storytelling, and driving engagement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Plan, create, and manage internal communication materials including announcements, newsletters, circulars, HR updates, and intranet content.
• Ensure messages are clear, consistent, and aligned with the organisation’s tone and communication standards.
• Support HR functions with content creation and communication planning.
• Coordinate internal campaigns such as engagement programmes, HR roadshows, health & wellness initiatives, and recognition events.
• Draft communication plans to support key HR projects and change management efforts.
• Manage content updates on the HR portal and partner with IT or Digital teams to improve user experience.
• Develop storytelling content, employee spotlights, FAQs, talking points, and key messages to strengthen connection and transparency.
• Coordinate engagement activities involving senior leadership, such as town halls and leadership messages.
• Gather employee feedback, analyse insights, and recommend improvements.
• Track engagement metrics and propose improvement strategies.
