Job summary

Press Metal Aluminium Holdings Berhad is seeking an Assistant Manager, Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) to lead, implement and continuously improve Group EHS strategies. You will provide corporate oversight to entity EHS teams and ensure compliance with regulatory and ISO standards.

The role requires a Degree in a related field and 5–6 years of EHS experience, with strong English and Bahasa Malaysia, and willingness to travel to operating entities as needed.

Qualifications

• Degree in Occupational Safety and Health or related discipline.
• 5–6 years of relevant EHS experience, preferably in manufacturing or heavy industry.
• Good knowledge of applicable occupational safety, health and environmental legislation.
• Experience with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
• Experience in EHS audits, incident investigations, risk management and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Develop and standardise Group EHS policies, procedures and programmes.
• Provide technical guidance and support to entity EHS teams.
• Monitor compliance with legal, Group and ISO 14001/45001 requirements.
• Coordinate Group EHS audits, risk assessments and corrective-action follow-up.
• Review significant incidents, investigation findings and preventive actions.
• Analyse Group EHS performance and recommend improvement initiatives.
• Prepare reports for Management and support training and knowledge sharing.
• Undertake other duties assigned by Management.

Job Purpose:

Support the development, implementation and continuous improvement of Group EHS strategies, policies and management systems.

Key Qualifications:

Degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Environmental Engineering, Engineering, Science or a related discipline.

At least five (5) to six (6) years of relevant EHS experience, preferably in manufacturing or heavy industry.

Good knowledge of applicable occupational safety, health and environmental legislation.

Experience with ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and corporate EHS management systems.

Experience in EHS audits, incident investigations, risk management and performance reporting.

Experience coordinating EHS matters across multiple sites or business entities is an advantage.

Relevant professional registration or competency certification is an added advantage.

Good written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia; proficiency in Mandarin is a plus.

Strong analytical, communication, facilitation and stakeholder-management skills.

Willing to travel to operating entities when required.
