Edra Power Holdings Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is seeking an Assistant Manager - Electrical Maintenance to support the Head of EC&I in planning and executing electrical maintenance for reliable plant operations.
You will lead Supervisors and Technicians, oversee outages, investigations, RCA, and reports, and drive continuous improvement in equipment reliability, safety and compliance across ISO frameworks.
Responsible for supporting the Head of EC&I in managing the plant's electrical maintenance activities to ensure safe, reliable and efficient plant operation. The role covers maintenance planning, troubleshooting, outages, projects, team leadership and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and coordinate preventive and corrective electrical maintenance, outages and major overhauls.
Oversee daily electrical maintenance, troubleshooting and breakdown rectification.
Lead Supervisors and Technicians in fault investigation, RCA and corrective actions.
Prepare maintenance, fault investigation, RCA and post-mortem reports.
Manage maintenance activities through SAP/CMMS, including work orders and maintenance records.
Develop and implement short- and long-term maintenance strategies to improve equipment reliability.
Manage electrical modification, improvement and Capital Projects.
Monitor critical spare parts and ensure adequate stock availability.
Prepare technical/tender documents, evaluation and recommendation reports.
Assist in internal and external audits, including Insurance, M&E, ISRS, Group Corporate Assurance and DOSH assessments.
Ensure compliance with HSE, SHEQ, ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 requirements.
Provide technical guidance, coaching and development to the electrical maintenance team.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
Registered with Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) as a Graduate Engineer.
JEK 33kV competency is an added advantage.
AESP, AGTES or Infrared Thermography Level 1 certification is an advantage.
Experience
Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical operation and maintenance.
Experience in Combined Cycle Power Plant is preferred.
Candidates from Power Generation, Oil & Gas, Petrochemical or Heavy Industry may also be considered.
Experience in SAP/CMMS, electrical troubleshooting, preventive and corrective maintenance.
Experience in leading or supervising a technical team is preferred.
Strong leadership and people management skills.
Good communication, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Ability to lead electrical troubleshooting and fault investigation.
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematic drawings.
Good planning, organisational and follow-up skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
Strong commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement.

These off-takers are either government or government‑linked entities.
