Job summary

Mamee-Double Decker (M) Sdn Bhd is seeking a data analytics and BI platform professional to oversee the operational support, development and future technology explorations of our data analytics framework and Microsoft PowerBI ecosystem. You will work with sales, finance, procurement, production and other support functions to deliver dashboards and KPI reporting that drive business decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Data Analytics or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of experience in data & analytics / BI, including operations management and stakeholder management.
• Experience with BI platforms and data transformation pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Manage operational support, maintenance, development and new tech exploration of the data analytics framework & BI platforms (PowerBI).
• Act as focal point for communicating system issues within the department and collaborate with business teams and vendors.
• Design, develop and implement data solutions, roadmaps, and data infrastructure for Mamee.

Job description

The candidate is responsible for managing the operational support, maintenance, development and new technology exploration activities of Mamee’s data analytics framework & business intelligence platforms. Assisting the team of business intelligence analysts, his/her focus is to ensure day to day operations of business intelligence platform (Microsoft PowerBI) and its associated ecosystem (Data Transformation & Pipeline) and integration points. The candidate is responsible for providing data solutions related to business strategies in Mamee, ultimately strengthening Mamee’s data analytics capabilities whilst paving the way for the future of Big Data Analytics & AI in the company.

• Acts as a focal point for communicating related system issues within the department and collaborates with other business teams and vendors on new initiative, changes, fixes, and updates.
• Works closely with business units (Eg: Sales, Commercial, Finance, Procurement, Production, others support function) in identifying, evaluating, selecting, and implementing specific business technologies that support the business plans and IT strategies.
• Design, prepare strategies, develop and implement the data solution, roadmap, infrastructure of Mamee.
• Responsible for the delivery and SLAs by guiding incident resolution, problem management, maintenance, and enhancement tickets raised by the end users for data solutions.
• Engage with internal technology team to facilitate access to relevant data sources and ensure data quality and governance.
• Technically lead the way in reviewing and adopting new, emerging and existing tech, leveraging benefits to improve availability, operations and support objectives.
• Collaborate and maintain strong partnership with vendor to on managing business intelligence platform & dashboard reporting.
• Strong understanding on business context & acumen by develop insightful dashboard & reporting (Eg: key metrics, KPI measurement) for operation, senior management & executive.
• Ownership to drive data culture, build awareness (Eg: Conduct training and workshops) among the organization.
• Responsible and resolve problems, data gap, data quality issues in meeting data standard and expectations.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Data Analytics / Scientist and/or equivalent.
• Min 3-5 years of experience in work related to data & analytics / BI, with experience in applications, products and operations management, project and stakeholder management.
• Experience in work with virtual and dispersed project or service teams.
• Experience in Business Intelligence platforms (PowerBI, SAP BW, Tableau, QlikSense or equivalent).
• Experience in a variety of data framework technologies – MMSQL, Microsoft Fabrics, Big Query, DataWarehouse/DataLake, etc.
• Exposure or hands on experience in SAP ERP or ML/AI would be an added advantage.
• Skills to envisage possible problems, determine and implement solutions. combined with good analysis skills and ability to quickly learn new concepts and systems.
• Excellent communication and presentations skills to cooperate with people at different organization levels.
• Ability to communicate concepts in elegant, concise, eloquent form to management and to cross-functional departments or teams verbally, in writing, and through pictures or diagrams when appropriate.
