Malaysia Airlines is seeking an Assistant Manager for the Central Region Malaysia to manage a portfolio of travel agents and drive strategic sales and marketing plans. You will work to deliver customer-centric operational excellence aligned with revenue targets and CSP pillars.

You will establish strong relationships with travel agencies and tourism partners, analyze regional performance, and collaborate across departments to optimize revenue and service levels.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.
  • 3 years of sales experience, preferably in aviation.
  • Strong understanding of the aviation market and trends.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

  • Establish relationships with travel agencies and travel trade partners to drive sales and activity in line with company policy.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue targets within budgeted overheads and CSP targets.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to improve revenue from travel agencies and partners.

Position Title

Assistant Manager, Central Region Malaysia

Report To

Sales Manager, Central Region

Position Summary

Manage assigned list of Travel Agents which involves delivering robust sales and marketing plans, effective customer centric operational excellence to achieve targets in line with Revenue Targets and Commercial Strategic Pillars.

Key Accountabilities
  • Establish good relationships with all travel agencies, travel trade partners and tourism board to drive sales and ensure continuous support rendered that is in line with business sales policy and advise them on the Company sales procedure and policy.
  • Explore growth opportunities and implement sales strategies and sales policies to achieve the revenue target, within the budgeted overhead cost allocated and monitor performance data & KPI pertaining to sales and revenue and achieving CSP targets
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders on opportunities to improve and drive high yield revenue contribution from travel agencies and travel trade partners.
  • Obtain feedback from the trade, analyze the region’s sales performance including performing intelligence on competitor sales performance, provide recommendations and possible solutions to the management for a more robust sales drive.
  • Conduct sales presentations and product demonstrations to potential clients, ensuring that terms and conditions are in line with company policies and guidelines
  • Provide exceptional customer service and support to clients, ensuring that their needs are met and issues are resolved in a timely and professional manner
  • Provide ad-hoc and administrative support to Reporting Manager and any other support work assigned and required from time to time.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field with minimum of 3 years of experience in sales, preferably in the aviation industry.
Area of Experience
  • Strong understanding of the aviation market, including business culture, regulatory environment, and market trends.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and managing a sales pipeline.
