Job summary

Private Advertiser in Genting Highlands is seeking a diligent Housekeeping Coordinator to manage daily room-cleaning allocations and prioritize rooms based on check-in/check-out schedules.

The role requires supervising cleaners, ensuring cleanliness standards and timely room readiness, with weekend work and independent operation. Accommodation is provided, and a performance-based incentive is offered.

Qualifications

• Previous hotel/serviced residence housekeeping experience preferred.
• Good eye for cleanliness and attention to detail.
• Able to supervise and coordinate housekeeping cleaners.
• Responsible, organized and able to work independently.
• Willing to work weekends and public holidays according to roster.
• Able to work 6 days per week in Genting Highlands.

Responsibilities

• Allocate daily room-cleaning assignments to housekeeping cleaners.
• Check room status and prioritize rooms according to hotel check-in/check-out schedule.
• Inspect rooms after cleaning and ensure they meet hotel cleanliness and presentation standards.
• Ensure all rooms are ready and released on time for guest check-in.
• Check beds, bathrooms, kitchen areas, towels, linen and guest amenities according to hotel SOP.
• Monitor cleaners’ daily progress, productivity and quality of work.
• Coordinate closely with Guest Service on room readiness, early check-in and special guest requests.
• Report maintenance issues, damages, missing items and defects promptly.
• Ensure housekeeping SOP and cleaning standards are consistently followed.
• Monitor linen, amenities and housekeeping supplies.
• Maintain accurate daily housekeeping and room-status records.
• Assist the Housekeeping Supervisor/Management with daily hotel housekeeping operations.
