Job summary

YL Central Services Sdn. Bhd. in Malaysia is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join our busy plant team.

You will diagnose equipment issues, schedule and supervise routine maintenance, and coordinate with production to minimize downtime. The ideal candidate has 2–3 years of mechanical/plant maintenance experience, strong troubleshooting and repair skills, and welding abilities (arc welding required; MIG/TIG are a plus).

Qualifications

• Technical Certificate in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 2–3 years’ experience in mechanical/plant maintenance.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills.
• Must have welding skills (arc welding; MIG/TIG an advantage).
• Good leadership, safety awareness, and ability to work independently.
• Willing to work overtime or attend to urgent breakdowns.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate daily mechanical maintenance activities.
• Lead and guide maintenance staff to ensure smooth workflow.
• Perform mechanical troubleshooting, machinery repair (Packing & Margarine Plant), and minor project works.
• Maintain strict safety standards and ensure compliance with procedures.
• Support welding, fabrication, and repair work.
• Contribute to achieving department goals and perform tasks assigned by management.
