Job summary

Yee Lee Corporation Bhd (YLC) is seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to plan and implement preventive and corrective maintenance programs for mill machinery and equipment. You will supervise workshop repairs, troubleshoot breakdowns, and coordinate with Production to minimize downtime, while ensuring safety and quality standards.

• Diploma / Certificate in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related discipline.
• Minimum 5-8 years of working experience in palm oil mill maintenance or heavy industrial workshop environment.
• Experience with rotating equipment, pumps, gearboxes, conveyors, and hydraulic systems preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of welding, fabrication, and alignment techniques.
• Familiarity with preventive maintenance systems and procedures.
• Leadership and supervisory ability.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• High sense of responsibility and discipline.
• Ability to work under pressure and during emergency breakdown situations

Responsibilities

Job description

Troubleshoot mechanical breakdowns and ensure prompt rectification.

Inspect and monitor equipment condition to prevent unexpected failures.

Support installation, modification, and upgrading of machinery.

Supervision & Team Coordination

Allocate tasks and monitor performance of workshop personnel.

Ensure work is completed according to quality standards and within agreed timelines.

Coordinate closely with Production Department to reduce operational downtime.

Provide on-the-job training and guidance to junior staff.

Safety, Health & Compliance

Enforce compliance with company safety policies and procedures.

Ensure proper usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Participate in safety meetings, risk assessments, and toolbox briefings.

Report unsafe conditions, near misses, and incidents promptly.

Ensure adherence to applicable DOSH regulations and environmental requirements.

Documentation & Reporting

Maintain accurate maintenance records and service logs.

Assist in preparing breakdown reports and maintenance analysis.

Monitor spare parts inventory and submit requisitions when required.

Requirement:
