Job summary

Yee Lee Corporation Bhd (YLC) is seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to plan and implement preventive and corrective maintenance programs for mill machinery and equipment. You will supervise workshop repairs, troubleshoot breakdowns, and coordinate with Production to minimize downtime, while ensuring safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Diploma / Certificate in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related discipline.
• Minimum 5-8 years of working experience in palm oil mill maintenance or heavy industrial workshop environment.
• Experience with rotating equipment, pumps, gearboxes, conveyors, and hydraulic systems preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of welding, fabrication, and alignment techniques.
• Familiarity with preventive maintenance systems and procedures.
• Leadership and supervisory ability.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• High sense of responsibility and discipline.
• Ability to work under pressure and during emergency breakdown situations

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and implementing preventive and corrective maintenance programs for mill machinery and equipment.
• Supervise daily workshop repair and fabrication activities.
• Troubleshoot mechanical breakdowns and ensure prompt rectification.
• Inspect and monitor equipment condition to prevent unexpected failures.
• Support installation, modification, and upgrading of machinery.
• Ensure proper maintenance of workshop tools and equipment.
• Provide on-the-job training and guidance to junior staff.
• Coordinate closely with Production Department to reduce operational downtime.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and service logs.
• Monitor spare parts inventory and submit requisitions when required.
