Grand Venture Technology (Penang) Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a senior finance leader to oversee closing, reporting, budgeting, and compliance. The role requires deep knowledge of MFRS/IFRS, tax regulations, and strong leadership to manage the finance team across multiple functions.
You will drive financial analysis, budgeting cycles, and strategic support for management decisions, while ensuring robust internal controls and efficient processes within the Penang operations.
Oversee the financial closing process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting in compliance with MFRS/IFRS and statutory requirements.
Review financial statements, management reports, and balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Coordinate annual budgeting, forecasting, cash flow planning, and variance analysis, providing financial insights to management.
Ensure compliance with tax regulations and statutory filings, including corporate income tax, SST, withholding tax, and other regulatory requirements.
Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, company secretaries, bankers, and regulatory authorities on finance-related matters.
Maintain and strengthen internal controls, accounting policies, and risk management practices.
Drive continuous process improvements, system enhancements, and automation initiatives to improve efficiency and controls.
Support management with financial analysis, business performance reviews, and strategic decision-making.
Lead and supervise the finance team, ensuring efficient operations and timely processing of accounting transactions.
Assist and handle any ad-hoc assignments when assigned by superior.
Job Requirement:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a professional qualification.
Minimum 5-7 years of relevant accounting and finance experience, including 3 years in a supervisory or team lead role.
Strong knowledge of MFRS/IFRS, Malaysian tax regulations, SST, withholding tax, and statutory compliance requirements.
Proficient in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial analysis.
Proficient in ERP/accounting systems and Microsoft Excel.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
