Job summary

Shake Shack Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. is seeking an Assistant Finance Manager to support daily finance operations, ensure accurate reporting, and assist with audits and tax matters. You will manage payments, monthly accounts, and forecasting in a fast-paced retail environment.

The role requires a strong accounting background, leadership skills, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive accurate financial processes and timely reporting.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Accounting, preferably in the F&B or Retail industry.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance or professional qualifications such as ACCA, CPA, or CIMA.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Experience in people management will be an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily accounting and finance operations including preparation of payment vouchers, bank reconciliations, and purchase invoice postings.
• Prepare monthly management accounts accurately and within reporting deadlines.
• Perform GL review and ensure accuracy of financial records and reporting.
• Handle full set accounts (FS) closing on a timely basis.
• Assist in forecasting and budgeting activities to support business planning.
• Monitor and manage cash flow planning to ensure healthy financial operations.
• Assist in year-end audits and preparation of financial statements.
• Liaise with tax agents on annual audit, tax computations, statutory tax submissions, and transfer pricing matters.
• Perform ad-hoc finance and accounting duties as assigned.
• Collaborate with other departments to support financial processes and reporting.
