Job summary

Mingle Group in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia is seeking an Assistant Finance Manager to oversee daily finance and accounting operations for our hostel and F&B businesses. You will prepare and review monthly P&L, balance sheet and management reports, monitor and analyse sales, COGS, payroll and operating expenses, and manage month-end closing with reconciliations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, CIMA.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience with hands-on accounting.
• Strong Excel skills with XLOOKUP, VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables.
• Knowledge of AutoCount Accounting System is an added advantage.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day finance and accounting operations for hostel and F&B businesses.
• Prepare and review monthly P&L, balance sheet and management reports.
• Monitor and analyse sales, COGS, payroll and operating expenses.
• Handle month-end closing and ensure accounts are properly reconciled.
• Review payment and accounting records for accuracy and completeness.
• Monitor cash flow and payment schedules.
• Work closely with outlet and operations teams on finance-related matters.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis.
• Liaise with auditors, tax agents, bankers, suppliers and other external parties when required.
