Job summary

Takahata Precision Moulding Sdn Bhd is seeking an Assistant Engineer or Engineer to join our Cheras-based engineering team. This full-time role focuses on supporting design, development, and manufacturing processes in mechanical engineering, with opportunities to grow under experienced professionals.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in Mechanical/Mechatronics/Manufacturing Engineering or related field, with 1–2 years in an assembly environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Mechatronics/Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
• 1–2 years in an Assembly Manufacturing environment preferred.
• Experience with plastic injection moulding is a plus.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001, IATF 16949 and ISO 14001 management systems.
• Experience with PLC and basic automation troubleshooting is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Plan, monitor and control daily assembly production activities to meet output targets.
• Ensure ISO 9001, IATF 16949 and ISO 14001 compliance.
• Conduct daily production monitoring on output, productivity, quality and efficiency.
• Maintain and improve production documentation, work instructions, SOPs and quality records.
• Plan preventive maintenance for assembly machines, jigs and fixtures.
• Ensure equipment, jigs and fixtures are maintained in good condition.
• Collaborate with Production, QA, Engineering and Maintenance to resolve issues.
• Ensure safety, environmental and 5S housekeeping requirements.

About the role
We are seeking an Assistant Engineer or Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team based in Cheras, Selangor. This is a full-time position that offers an excellent opportunity to develop your career in mechanical engineering within a forward-thinking organisation. As an Assistant Engineer or Engineer, you will play a vital role in supporting our engineering operations, contributing to product design, development, and manufacturing processes whilst working alongside experienced professionals to enhance your technical expertise.

What you'll be doing
Plan, monitor and control daily assembly production activities to achieve production output targets.

Ensure all assembly processes comply with ISO 9001, IATF 16949 and ISO 14001 (EMS) requirements.

Conduct daily production monitoring, including output, productivity, quality and efficiency.

Maintain and continuously improve production documentation, work instructions, SOPs and quality records.

Plan and monitor preventive maintenance activities for assembly machines, equipment, jigs and fixtures.

Ensure all production equipment, jigs, fixtures are maintained in good working condition.

Work closely with Production, Quality Assurance, Engineering and Maintenance department to resolve manufacturing issues.

Ensure compliance with safety, environmental and housekeeping (5S) requirements.

What we're looking for
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or a related engineering discipline, or equivalent professional qualifications

Minimum 1-2 years of working experiences in an Assembly Manufacturing environment.

Working experience in Plastic Injection Moulding will be an added advantage.

Good knowledge in ISO 9001, IATF 16949 and ISO14001 Management System.

Experience in machine troubleshooting, jig and fixture maintenance and production equipment improvement.

Knowledge of PLC system and basic automation trouble shooting is an advantage.

Familiarity with pneumatic, electrical and mechanical system id preferred.

Computer literate with good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) Experience with ERP or manufacturing systems is compulsory.

Willing to support overtime and production requirement when necessary.
