Job summary

Welford Manufacturing SDN BHD is seeking an Assistant Engineer to support production automation and maintenance teams, ensuring reliable machine performance and production systems. You will assist in machine maintenance, preventive activities, and process improvements under senior guidance.

Fresh graduates are welcome; you will work on spare parts, tuning, software troubleshooting, and meticulous maintenance records for traceability and compliance in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Automation, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• 0–2 years of relevant experience (fresh graduates are welcome to apply).
• Basic knowledge of machine maintenance, automation systems, and process optimization.
• Familiarity with PLC, HMI, and control systems is an advantage.
• Exposure to parts procurement and vendor coordination is a plus.
• Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and maintenance documentation.
• Strong eagerness to learn, good communication skills, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Assist in performing machine maintenance to ensure smooth operations and minimize downtime.
• Support preventive maintenance activities to enhance machine longevity and reliability.
• Contribute to machine process improvements by identifying efficiency opportunities and implementing solutions under senior guidance.
• Handle machine spare parts inventory, including parts ordering and sourcing, to secure quality components at competitive prices and maintain optimal stock levels.
• Execute mechanical tuning and adjustments to keep machines running at peak performance.
• Assist with software tuning and basic troubleshooting for automation systems.
• Maintain accurate upkeep of maintenance documents, logs, and service reports for traceability and compliance.
