Job summary

YUAN DESIGN (M) SDN. BHD. is seeking a Site Supervisor to oversee day-to-day site activity, coordinating subcontractors, laborers and tradespeople to keep projects on schedule.

You will plan workflow, allocate resources, ensure drawings and specs are followed, and conduct quality inspections. Strong communication with project managers, engineers, architects and clients is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a site supervisor.
• Ability to oversee subcontractors and trades on-site.
• Strong sense of responsibility and initiative in project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily activities of subcontractors, laborers, and tradespeople.
• Plan and organize the daily workflow to meet milestones and deadlines.
• Ensure materials, tools, and equipment are available and properly utilized on-site.
• Conduct regular quality inspections of workmanship and materials.
• Ensure adherence to architectural drawings, blueprints, and project specifications.
• Act as liaison between on-site crew and off-site professionals (PMs, Engineers, Architects, Clients).
• Maintain daily site logs tracking weather, personnel, deliveries, and work completed.
• Identify delays or design conflicts and report with proposed solutions.

Oversee Operations: Supervise daily activities of subcontractors, laborers, and tradespeople (plumbers, electricians, carpenters, etc.).

Workflow Scheduling: Plan and organize the daily workflow to ensure project milestones and deadlines are met.

Resource Allocation: Ensure necessary materials, tools, and equipment are available and properly utilized on-site.

Quality Control

Blueprint Adherence: Ensure all work is executed in strict accordance with architectural drawings, blueprints, and project specifications.

Inspections: Conduct regular quality checks of workmanship and materials to prevent errors and minimize rework.

Subcontractor Accountability: Verify that subcontractors fulfill their contractual obligations regarding quality and scope.

Communication & Reporting

Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact between the on-site crew and off-site professionals (Project Managers, Engineers, Architects, and Clients).

Progress Reports: Maintain daily site logs tracking weather conditions, active personnel, deliveries, and work completed.

Issue Resolution: Identify construction delays or design conflicts early and report them to the Project Manager with suggested solutions.

Soft skills: Possesses a strong sense of responsibility, takes ownership of projects on hand, responds to queries promptly, takes initiative in proposing solutions for challenges faced in every project.
