Our client "CNMY" is seeking an Assistant Contract Manager to join their team!
This opportunity offers the chance to support complex industrial projects across tendering, cost control, contract administration and commercial management. The role provides exposure to EPC, EPCM and Design & Build projects while working with international stakeholders and major multinational clients.

CNMY is a foreign-based Project Management Consultancy and construction firm specialising in industrial projects. The company delivers Design & Build, EPC and EPCM services, working with international stakeholders on diverse and challenging projects.
What you'll be doing?
- Support commercial proposals: Assist Project and Business Development teams with fee proposals and commercial bids.
- Prepare cost estimates: Develop preliminary construction CAPEX estimates and provide feasibility input when required.
- Manage progress claims: Oversee monthly progress claims and support timely payment processing for clients, contractors and consultants.
- Compile commercial reports: Prepare commercial data and reports for internal reviews and client presentations.
- Prepare tender documents: Lead tender documentation for smaller retrofitting and refurbishment projects.
- Coordinate procurement: Invite and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations and prepare comparison reports.
- Manage Bills of Quantities: Coordinate with clients, consultants and quantity surveyors on tender documents and Bills of Quantities.
- Advise on contracts: Provide input on tender strategies, procurement routes and contract arrangements based on project requirements.
- Administer contracts: Manage post-contract matters, including cost control, variations and interim valuations.
- Monitor project costs: Prepare monthly cost reports, update cost databases, track cash flow and forecast payments.
- Assess variations: Review and validate variation submissions and provide recommendations for client approval.
- Support project meetings: Attend project and site meetings to monitor contractual and commercial matters.
- Manage budgets: Monitor project budgets and support alignment with approved financial targets.
- Support final accounts: Work with quantity surveyors to prepare final accounts and facilitate timely contract closure.
Who are they looking for?
- Relevant qualification: A Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying or an equivalent discipline.
- Professional experience: At least 8 years of experience in quantity surveying practice or consultancy.
- M&E expertise: Experience in mechanical and electrical quantity surveying is advantageous.
- Project background: Experience with fast-track and industrial projects is required.
- Industry exposure: Experience in construction, property development or EPCM environments is required.
- Contractor-side knowledge: Experience working with main contractors on factories, warehouses or similar industrial developments.
- Commercial capability: Strong understanding of cost control, tendering, procurement, variations, valuations and contract administration.
- Professional integrity: A proactive work ethic, honesty, integrity, accountability and discretion when handling confidential matters.
- Technical proficiency: Familiarity with AutoCAD, Microsoft Office and Microsoft Excel.
- Communication skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills for working with clients, consultants, contractors and project teams.
- Language capability: Mandarin language skills are advantageous for liaising with clients based in China.
- Travel flexibility: Willingness to travel domestically according to project requirements.
