Icon Sunsuria Sdn Bhd is seeking an Assistant Centre Manager to oversee administration and practice management at site level across medical oncology, ensuring efficient operations and high-quality patient services.
You will lead a multidisciplinary team, manage recruitment and training, coordinate rosters, ensure compliance with MoH standards, and drive continuous improvement and accreditation readiness.
The Assistant Centre Manager is responsible for providing effective and efficient management of the administration and practice management functions at site level to deliver high quality administrative services across medical oncology.
Leadership of Administration/Practice Management Function and Team
Lead Administration/Practice Management team members at Site and ensure a safe, supportive and productive work environment
Maintain an understanding of all administration/practice management tasks at site to ensure appropriate day-to-day management of the administration/practice management function
Manage recruitment, orientation, training and performance reviews of new staff
Develop a high performing team through quality performance management
Implement effective rosters to manage workloads and meet the needs of the Site
Provide consistent and transparent communications to all team members
Participate as an active and positive member of the Site Leadership team
Conduct monthly team meetings and facilitate formal communication with team members
Identify service gaps and provide solutions
Work with Operations Manager to identify skills gaps and training needs
Take initiatives to improve workflow and patient services
Operational/Site Management
Ensure a timely and efficient patient admission, discharge and outpatient appointment process
Ensure the maximum utilisation of Site consultation rooms
Establish and review workflow processes and workstation functionality
Ensure Privacy principles are applied on Site
Ensure relevant patient admission/discharge documents are signed
Ensure patient outpatient documents are signed and billing processed accordingly
Provide appropriate assistance and directions to customers
Communicate clearly with wards, units and transport groups
Ensure timely management of insurance claims
Ensure treatment/procedure consent and financial counselling processes are in place
Practice Management Services to Registered Medical Officers
Ensure regular communications are held with onsite RMOs
Maintain consulting room roster to ensure optimal usage
Follow up customer service complaints within 24 business hours with escalation where necessary
Quality
Support the Site's commitment to quality improvement and achievement of Ministry of Health accreditation
Participate in quality-related meetings, committees and audits
Collaborate with the Operations Manager to develop and review the Site Quality Plan
Ensure accurate patient information and data is captured in the clinic management system
Adherence of National Standards
Work in accordance with Ministry of Health requirements and relevant specialist clinic/hospital standards
Play an active role in implementing workflow and practice changes required to meet standards
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare Management, Business Administration, Nursing, or a related field
Minimum 5-8 years of management experience in a healthcare, hospital, specialist clinic, or oncology setting.
Proven experience in leading multidisciplinary teams and managing healthcare operations.
Experience in patient services, healthcare administration, and operational planning.
Strong understanding of healthcare regulations, quality standards, and accreditation requirements.
