About the role

As an Assistant Nurse Manager at ONCO LIFE CENTRE, you will be responsible for overseeing the clinic and nursing staff and ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care. This full-time role in Bangsar South, Kuala Lumpur, will involve leading a team of clinic and nursing staff and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to create a seamless patient experience.

What you'll be doing

To manage and lead a team of daycare nurses and clinic patient navigators to ensure efficiency and effectiveness in providing clinical and administrative patient care services

To ensure patient navigators understand and able to execute their job scope efficiently according to established SOPs, with daily reporting of completion of their task according to timelines

To enforce and perform audits on the patient navigation team to ensure defined daily timelines are strictly met.

Training new patient navigators to be competent in their respective job scope

To assist oncologists in chemotherapy daycare and clinic with regards to clinical management matters

To provide training to medical and other staff members as part of internal continuous medical education (CME).

To be in charge of finalizing the daily itinerary prepared by the patient navigators prior to approval by the medical director

To perform daily ward rounds and clinical audits on the nurses’ work efficiency in the daycare.

To play a key role in supporting and working with other departments to achieve the goals of the company in providing excellent patient care.

To be an appointed member in various operational committees related to infection control, quality improvement, medication safety, clinical review, environmental health, etc for the purpose of external accreditation.

Any other tasks that the management may at its sole and absolute discretion reasonably and lawfully instructs, designates or appoints.

What we're looking for

Registered Senior Staff Nurse (with valid APC or RON) with a minimum of 7 years of clinical and administrative experience in a hospital setting

Strong clinical knowledge and expertise in nursing practices

Candidates must possess a Degree in Nursing or any other recognized Degree

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team

Proficient in problem-solving, decision-making, and critical thinking

Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively

Familiarity with healthcare regulations and accreditation standards
