The University of Cyberjaya in Malaysia seeks a dedicated Hostel Warden to care for students on site, guide welfare, and enforce the Student Code and Conduct within the hostel. You will monitor movements, assist with admissions, and maintain order in a safe living environment for residents.
The role involves handling emergencies after hours, providing first aid, producing reports to HOD/Management, and performing hostel operations tasks such as filing, tenancy renewals, and maintaining a
o To provide care to students on site (e.g.: sending students to clinic/hospital), providing information, advice and support as may be required, but within the scope of the role of College Hostel Warden;
o To address any students welfare issues and student disciplinary matters in the hostel in a sensible and timely manner and following the college Student Code and Conduct;
o To monitor and record students' movement in the hostel;
o Assisting in the admission of new students into the hostel;
o Establish and maintain appropriate social contact with students;
o Provide relevant information about the students whenever it is required;
o Offer appropriate first aid support when needed;
o Respond to on-site emergencies during out hours (burst pipes, broken windows, burglaries, locked out of room etc.)
o Produce written reports to HOD / Management when needed
o Responsible to handle administrative task related to operations such as filing management, renewal or new tenancy agreement for hostel unit, prepare student masterlist who staying at hostel, hostel registration and etc.
