Job summary

Sophic Automation in Penang seeks an organized operations professional to manage inventory, handle lab tools configurations, and execute daily tasks with accuracy. You will ensure timely ticket closures while following SOPs and escalating ambiguities as needed.

The role requires attention to detail, leadership, and strong computer literacy (Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Email) to support efficient warehouse and asset management processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor/Diploma/Advanced/Higher in Engineering (Electrical/Electronic) or equivalent.
• Able to handle multi-task operations with attention to detail.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and email.
• Strong organizational and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Fully comprehend Lab tools and systems configurations.
• Execute operations work orders or demands per daily priority task list.
• Accountable for quality execution & on-time ticket closure; comply with SOP and escalate when unclear.
• Perform check-in/out, transfer ownership, extend due date, receive shipments and register into inventory.
• Provide reports for inventory items, retirement/disposal requests, ship offsite items, locate and reuse items, and procure indirect materials.

Accountable for quality execution & on time ticket closure, comply to SOP (Standard Operating Procedure), seek clarification & problem solving in ambiguity situation, comply to adhoc non-standard operating procedure or instructions, comply to escalation process.

Perform check in/out items, transfer ownership, transfer borrow, extend due date, receive shipments, enter/register into inventory, and deploy to end user.

Provide reports for items tracked by inventory, retirement request or disposal of an item, ship items offsite, locating items, reuse check, perform audit on the assets, submit procurement ticket for indirect materials purchase.

DETAILED JOB REQUIREMENTS

Candidate must possess at least Bachelor/Diploma/Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma in Engineering (Electrical/Electronic) or equivalent.

Candidate must be flexible, self-starter and capable of handling multi-task operations, and attention to detail is a must. Computer Literacy, MS word, excel, Power point, Email. English literacy.
